Heart of the Valley Chorus exists to provide unique music experiences for women's voices of all ages in Western Massachusetts and the Connecticut River Valley.

Can you believe a year has passed so quickly? Heart of the Valley Chorus is once again preparing for our holiday performance and we are inviting the community to sing with us again!

Join us for 3 free open rehearsals to learn a few seasonal and holiday songs, and then sing alongside the chorus at our holiday performance.
Rehearsals: 🗓️ Wednesdays, November 19, December 3, and December 10 ⏰ 6:30pm to 8:30pm 📍 Christ United Methodist Church, 271 Rocky Hill Rd, Northampton, MA (Heart of the Valley is not religiously affiliated) Performance: 🗓️ Saturday, December 13 ⏰ Sound check at 5:00pm, performance at 7:00pm 📍 Bombyx Center for Arts and Equity, 130 Pine Street, Florence, MA Ages 9 and up are welcome (we ask that anyone under 16 be accompanied by an adult). |

There are no scary auditions, and singers do not need to be able to read music. And while we would love for you to RSVP here, you can also just show up! |
Which part will i sing? |
Whichever feels the best! Tenor, Lead, Baritone, or Bass -- you will have a chance to try them all, and our members will help you. High, low, and in between, we'll find a section for you! (or when in doubt, just sing the melody!)

Is it just for women? |
While the barbershop style that we sing has traditionally been for women, Heart of the Valley Chorus is open to anyone who can sing comfortably in the treble or "traditionally female" vocal range (soprano, alto, mezzo, and high men’s parts). You do not need to identify as a woman to sing with us.

Vocal Lessons with every rehearsal . . .
You don't need to be able to read music ...
Illness Policy:
Use your best judgement and do not attend a rehearsal if you are sick or have symptoms. Members and visitors may choose to wear masks if they wish. |

Who we are
Heart ♥️ of the Valley Chorus aims to inspire our audiences and offer them an opportunity to engage musically in all of our performances. We feel very strongly that everyone should have access to high quality musical harmony and entertainment.

Established 40 years ago originally as The Mount Sugarloaf Chorus, Heart of the Valley Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International and its North Atlantic Region 1! We perform all over Western Massachusetts and the Connecticut River Valley. Our main goal is to have fun and produce high quality harmonies. We love to sing and love to laugh and learn music.
